Bowling brilliance

Reporter Clutha Leader

Congratulations to South Otago Indoor Bowls:
Member Christine King (back row second from right) took out the Sandra Gould Memorial Trophy for the individual top scorer at the recent Southern Zone Women's Eights Tournament at Timaru, with an impressive 28 from the available 30 points. Close behind her were Alanna Moffitt on 26 points and Eileen Grant on 24. She was in the team that scored a back to back win by taking out the tournament for the second successive year, with 133 points to South Canterbury's 128.5. Southland scored 92, Otago 90.5, North Otago 55 and Central Otago 41. South Otago's points were the highest recorded for the two-day competition in the 21 year history of the competition. In mid June, the club will be choosing a team to play in the Paterson Trophy, which is contested by teams in regions in New Zealand, with the South Otago club playing host to the southern zone event at Balclutha in July 20-22. The national final will be held in September at Upper Hutt. Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
