Hey neighbours, NZ Compare wanted to remind you to vote in your local Counties Energy Trust Elections kicking off tomorrow 15th July 2023.

The role of the Counties Energy Trust is to monitor the performance of Counties Energy to ensure they drive results that benefit the local electricity consumers - like YOU! So, It's important to elect Trustees that represent residents' needs effectively as it is all of us who pay for the service. Our wonderful General Manager - Megan Matthews is a candidate this year too!

Each household in the Counties Energy area will receive voting papers in the post, they will have a unique Access Code and Password. You need these handy to vote online. You don’t need to leave the couch to have your say this year! Click 'READ MORE' to go place your vote tomorrow.

Illegal dumping

This is awful how people just disregard bylaws. dump their rubbish in parks and waterways to try get away with having to pay dumping costs at the rubbish dumps and transfer stations. This also can cause flooding again due to blocking the grate of the culvert in Princes street. No thought for neighbours or damage that can be caused by their actions.
