Poll: Should schools ban phones?
Hi neighbours, Waiuku College has decided to put the crackdown on cell phones during school hours both inside and outside the classroom.
However, not everyone is happy.
What do you think? Is it a good idea? Is the school going too far? Are there legitimate reasons a student may need a phone during school hours?

54.2% Ban them all. School is no place for cell phones.

33.3% Ban most of them. Make exceptions for students with a legitimate reason.

12.5% No ban. Phones are a necessity in our modern world.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
