New chapel opening on 1st September
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is opening a brand new chapel on Park Estate Road, Papakura. We've been in the Papakura and Pukekohe region for over 100 years. Come and see the history of the church at our opening.
Join us between 11:00am and 3:00pm, Saturday 1st September. All are welcome!
Our new chapel at 209 Park Estate Road, Papakura, is a great blessing for members of the Church and for our community, who will use it and enjoy the feeling of the spirit that prevails within it.
A special conference will be held at 10:00am on Sunday 9th September.
From 16th September church services will start at 9:00am in all chapels in the Papakura and Pukekohe areas.

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
-
77.1% Community feedback and transparency is needed.
-
22.9% No. This would be impossible in practice.
