๐ŸŒŸ GP Highlight ๐ŸŒŸ

The Doctors Sunset

This month, weโ€™re shining the spotlight on Dr Niko Noel, a fantastic GP who joined our practice in November and is already making a big difference to our patients.

Dr Noel has a strong interest in mental health, menโ€™s health, minor procedures, musculoskeletal care, and supporting older adults. He is known for his approachable manner and takes the time to ensure patients feel comfortable, listened to, and well supported throughout their care.

Although newer to our team, he has quickly become a valued member of our practice and patient community.

With increased GP hours, we now have greater availability for both same-day acute appointments and routine care, making it easier for you to be seen when you need to.

Appointments available โ€“ book online or contact reception 09 478 2878

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, thereโ€™s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need ๐Ÿช™๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿช™

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship โ€” like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisationsโ€”like NZTAโ€”manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

Weโ€™d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
