️🎶Absolutely perfect for people suffering from Alzheimer's🎶
I was going to post this in my group - 'Handy' hints, tips & great ideas:
www.neighbourly.co.nz... - but thought that this is too good not to share with everyone.
Just on a side note, this is also perfect for the elderly and anyone incapacitated. My friend who fosters severely handicapped children, has done this with all of her foster children and they absolutely love it and have thrived so much.
With technology moving faster than ever now, how about donating your iPods to a family member or a friend to make a personalised music list for their loved one.
Music and memories walk hand in hand with one another. These little iPods with a personalised play list on it, will help tap into deep memories that maybe lost and maybe for a period of time, bring them 'back to life'.
Thus, allowing them to feel like themselves again, maybe even to converse if they can and socialise while staying present.
This has to be a simple and very easy gift to give anyone who is sick or confined to their bed or wheelchair.
I was going to suggest donating them to the old folk's homes etc ... but there are (sadly) far too many light fingered people out there.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
58.9% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.3% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.8% ... It is complicated
