Bachelor of Science about to disappear from the North Shore - sign petition
Massey University is considering to stop offering the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree programmes at their Albany campus. Currently there are about 650 undergraduate students and 150 postgraduate students in natural and mathematical sciences on Massey's Albany campus, whose courses will be removed, and about 70 academic staff jobs are under threat.
Community events, like the the free lecture series The Fascination of Science regularly announced on this forum will go as well if the changes go ahead.
Please consider supporting sciences at Massey Albany by signing the petition at www.change.org....
A lot of background information and links to news articles can be found on the petition web site.
Please also consider supporting a student-initiated petition that Jessica (www.neighbourly.co.nz...) posted about yesterday.
