Cut the Crap Meeting tonight 6.30 at Milford Cruising Club

Vivienne from Milford

Hi, not sure whether this message has been posted by others but there's an important meeting tonight regarding cleaning up the pollution going into Wairau Creek and ending up at Milford beach. I'm passionate about the water quality at our beach and incensed every time the beach is closed to locals due to this pollution. I strongly encourage others who feel the same to show their support tonight and attend the meeting.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
