New public park at Mairangi Arts Centre

Chris from Mairangi Bay

Every Monday 10:30-12:00 during school term we have an open working bee in the Mairangi Arts Centre park to do necessary tasks and talk about how the park should be.

This is your chance to contribute to the resident-led development of a new public space in our community.

Let's make a gift to our neighbourhood and to the future.

EAT, MAKE, PLAY!

LET’S MAKE, DO, AND MAKE–DO TOGETHER!

Please let me know if you plan to attend. Free homemade coconut ice cream if you do.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
