I am flabbergasted that some person presented on the news tonight stating that the high international prices for dairy was " good for the economy" even if we (consumers) are at a point when we can't afford to buy these foods which are produced here. I have not bought steak for some months now as it is ridiculously expensive. Butter is off the menu. Who in the economy is it good for?

Poll: What do you do with your stuff when you get the urge to declutter?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Life gets busyโ€”really busy. Between work, family, appointments, and a never-ending to-do list, itโ€™s easy for things to pile up. Add fast fashion, online sales, and homewares aisles that whisper โ€œjust one more basket wonโ€™t hurtโ€, and suddenly weโ€™re swimming in stuff and tat.

Sometimes, that stuff is cozy and familiar. But other times, after a long day, you walk through the door, look around, and think: โ€œOkay. Somethingโ€™s got to go.โ€

And when that urge to declutter hits, the question isโ€”where does it all go? We're not talking about broken bits and pieces, but those perfectly good things that simply no longer fit your life or your space.

In her piece When decluttering canโ€™t be avoided much longer, Joanna Davis shares the everyday items she's finally ready to part withโ€”and it might just inspire your own clear-out mission.

We want to know:
๐Ÿงน How often do you get the urge to declutter?
๐ŸŽฏ Are there certain things youโ€™ve got your eye on to donate or rehome?
๐Ÿ’› Do you have any favourite charities, op-shops, or community organisations you support with your preloved items?

Letโ€™s swap stories, share ideas, and help great stuff find a second lifeโ€”outside our closets and shelves.

The good news is, the Covid vaccine can help protect you from serious illness. Itโ€™s free, and recommended for you and many others as long as you havenโ€™t had the vaccine, or Covid, in the last 6 months.
