RAFT Studio, Torbay
Have you heard about the new arts and crafts studio situated under the hall at St Mary By The Sea Church, 168 Deep Creek Road in Torbay? We are a not for profit centre where our community are welcome to come along, get creative and share their work. We run classes and open sessions as well as workshops and tutorials. Currently we offer sewing, crochet, knitting, macrame, mixed media, watercolours, abstract art, card making and paper crafts. We'd love to meet you. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
