Room for rent in a lovely, sunny house in a top East coast bays location ( Rothesay bay). We are close to many beaches, browns bay, Rothesay bay, Mairangi bay and not far from Massey uni and Albany mall, and Takapuna or the bus route to the city.
We are offering a bright double , fully furnished bedroom with direct access to a lovely deck, yard, spa pool, and above ground pool on the lower level of our house (it is ground level walk out to deck and garden, not below ground as many are ). The downstairs bathroom is shared with another female who is only here half of the time . Upstairs is the main living area, large well equipped kitchen and additional bedrooms ( over 2 top levels). Our home is in a great location, a house away from a reserve, offers a lovely garden where we grow fresh vegetables , hot tub, pool and an unbeatable location. We are looking for a responsible, tidy female roomate to share our family home. We do have a lovely small dog who we rescued in March, she is older, non allergenic , very smart and social. In non-covid times we do go away frequently. We are looking for a responsible, working, vaccinated ( to protect family) female. $ 220 PW. Thanks
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐ป๐จ๐

36.3% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
63.7% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)

Some Choice News!
DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, weโre a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature โ and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
We hope this brings a smile!
