Custom "Disney" Pet Portraits (Your pet here!)
(Valid anywhere—digital file!)
Send through a photo of a pet, and I'll turn him or her into a character you'd swoon for in a Disney movie.
I am offering a drawing with clean colored lines, a simple background, and simple shading (more than what is in my example), based off of a special photo.
What you will receive:
- a full-size high quality PNG file (digital!)
- you will get one round of review, in which you may ask for changes to get your perfect pet picture
- the photoshop document if requested--my signature cannot be removed
What you may do with this:
- print it on anything (NOT FOR PROFIT) like a canvas, poster, t-shirt, pillow, or mug for a wholesome gift this Christmas (I can point you to some places to do this. Name anything, and I can probably find a place to get it printed!)
Pricing by size (one pet):
A4 image (poster or decent to good quality for a t-shirt or anything smaller): $35
A3 image (poster or good to great quality for most products): $45
+ $20 per additional animal
Please message me or e-mail if you are interested!
If you want to consult with me for a special pose, expression, theme/props, or background, I am happy to negotiate. The above prices are only for direct interpretation of the photo with a simple color background (like the example listed).
I'm a vet student needing to make some money over the summer, so any commissions really help me out. I'm moving around a bit between now and the start of my next university year, and while I am employed full-time throughout December, applying for a job for half of November and all of January before I move away in February isn't incredibly realistic. So, this is me!
I also draw humans and offer other options if you are interested. I have art examples of varying quality on my Instagram: aloofs_travelingcircus
Thank you! :))
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
37.1% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
62.9% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
Some Choice News!
DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
We hope this brings a smile!
