Be Safe and Stay Healthy

Dovetail Restorations Ltd

Yesterday was definitely one of the wildest days I think anyone of us has experienced. We worked until 10:00 pm last night to have as much items ready and delivered, and we will do so until level 4 is put into place. We recognise how important it is now for you to have your dining set or bed frame or cabinet at this time, as it would not be comfortable without these in daily life. It would be unacceptable for us not to return these to you at this time. We’re grateful for our government for making this call, and in assisting us to make sure our people are paid and looked after. Our team is truly a family, and we assure you, we are doing everything in our power to retain our staff.

Although our workshop will be closed until it is safe to open, FRET NOT—we understand that now that ALL your time will be spent at home, that accidents will happen: chairs will be broken, kids will ‘accidentally’ draw or paint on tables. We will still be making assessments via email. Provide photos of the damage and we will answer you with the best path forward. We are here, and we are together (just not physically)

ALSO get ready to see some of our misadventures at home and get some insight as to how we lead our lives outside of the workshop. Feel free to share your lockdown projects as well! Take care of yourself and your family.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
