A few tickets still available!! High tea at historic Alberton.

Rendell McIntosh from Alberton

Alas, April's Market Day at Alberton may have to be cancelled but next week's high teas will still be going ahead from 27-29 March! Please support our event! This one is so expensive to run so we are hoping for a good turn out.

There are still tickets left for the Friday afternoon session if you'd like an indulgent end-of-the-week treat. In the serene setting of the verandah or the ballroom, savour dainty sandwiches, scones, savouries and cakes by award winning caterers LittleWolf with a glass of Lindauer bubbles and a select menu of Harney & Sons Fine Tea served from the vintage china. With live harp music, a goodie bag and entry to explore the house included, the tea services are always such a lovely occasion.

If you are interested in booking for one of the other services we may be able to fit in a few more and will know closer to the time. To to be added to the wait list please email alberton@heritage.org.nz.

Use the promo code - TGIF2020 - for 10% off Afternoon Tea at 2pm on Friday 27 March. Book via Eventfinda:

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
