**UPDATED:** 1.23pm Sunday 28 February

The Prime Minister and the Director-General of Health have provided an update to media in the Beehive.

Ardern has confirmed that health authorities have found a possible person to person link for how Case M and N picked up Covid-19. This could eliminate concern that there are other chains of transmission to identify.

Ashley Bloomfield asked people to keep an eye out for atypical symptoms
"This new variant of the virus, the B117, does seem to be presenting with symptoms that are not the typical respiratory symptoms," he said.

If you have muscle aches, do consider this might be a Covid-19 symptom.

Hi Auckland,

How worried are you about coastal erosion in Auckland?

Auckland's shoreline could recede by 200m by 2130 if little to no action on climate change is taken.

The report, titled "Predicting Auckland's exposure to coastal instability and erosion", details the impacts this will have on communities the Auckland region.

Sea level rise is notoriously difficult for scientists to follow and this has meant coastal erosion rates have been difficult to predict.

New Zealand's sea levels have risen an average 1.67mm per year since 1989, but the Ministry of Environment says this will accelerate if little action is taken on climate change.

The Matariki cluster will send Aotearoa a new public holiday next year.

The actual date of Matariki will move but is expected to always fall on a Friday or Monday.

The first day off will be Friday June 24 in 2022.

Government advice suggests the new Matariki public holiday will cost businesses between $377 - $448 million.

But that advice does not include any potential economic benefits from the new public holiday, set to be introduced from next year.

The estimated cost has come under fire from ACT leader David Seymour who said the public holiday amounted to a tax on business.

Seymour suggested that the Government get rid of another public holiday to make way for Matariki.

Two tracks in an Auckland regional park have reopened three years after a rahui was placed on the forest to thwart the spread of kauri dieback.

On Sunday the Omanawanui and Puriri Ridge tracks in the Waitakere Ranges opened to the public again.

Forested areas in West Auckland’s Waitākere Ranges and Hunua Ranges were closed off in 2018 to protect the trees from kauri dieback disease and prevent further spread.

This meant pedestrians could not access more than 100 tracks in Waitākere and more than 10 high-risk tracks in Hunua.

It is a “significant milestone” in the reopening of the Te Ara Tahura/Hillary Trail, Auckland Council said.

It will pave the way for people to hike from Karamatura Valley in Huia through to Anawhata, near Piha.

Auckland mayor Phil Goff said he was pleased to see the tracks reopen.

“Aucklanders and visitors love the Waitākere Ranges and West Auckland walking tracks,” Goff said.

“The tracks were closed to protect our iconic native kauri trees from dieback disease.”
