Hauraki flat family share lemons with the community
A flat family in Hauraki with an over supply of lemons has decided to share them with the community.
Efa C, Brooke Wilson, Hannah Ryan, Caitlin Harper live at 22 Waitemata Road.
“We’ve got this massive lemon tree at the back, we were going to take the lemons to work to share, but then obviously we went into lockdown,” Efa said.
“They’re pretty ripe already so they’re good for all your baking needs, we’re just going to leave them out the front.”
The flat has three batches of lemons or around 90 in total.
“Stay safe, keep your distance, squeeze the day,” Efa said.
Will you be popping by to grab a lemon?

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
