RBNZ OCR Unchanged, Door Open for Cut in 2024

💲The 2yr swap rate fell 0.2% after the RBNZ OCR announcement, hitting levels not seen since Nov 2022.💲
◾Nov 2022: avg 2yr mortgage rate = 6.75%
◾Jun 2024: avg 2yr mortgage rate = 7.35%
That's a 0.6% increase in mortgage rates.
✅ Implication: if these levels hold, there could be room for mortgage rates to fall.
