Bed Frame (solid beech wood)

Julia from Devonport

Beautiful slat bed made in Germany of solid beech wood in great used condition. A sturdy structure made of natural materials. The slats are two pieces that can be rolled up for transport. Strips of felt have been added on the frame below the slats to minimise any sound when turning over during the night.

The original bed frame joints have broken (they were plastic and couldn’t bear the weight), therefore we have added wooden blocks that allow the frame to be screwed together (see pics). Therefore the corners of the bed are not super straight, but this does not impact functionality as the bed has been used like this for many years.

There are two large drawers underneath that provide excellent storage. While the bed frame will come disassembled, please note that the drawers cannot be disassembled. The drawer's interior capacity is approx. 88cm deep + 96cm wide. Please ensure you have adequate transport available.

This listing comes from a pet free and smoke free home and is for the bed frame only, mattress not included. It has been used with a futon mattress. The mattress required for this bed frame needs to measure 1.2 x 2m as it sits within the frame, so the mattress is level with the frame.

Measurements of frame approximately:
1.28m x 2.06m x 40cm.
