Kids Athletics is a 6 week 'have-a-go' style athletics programme where primary and intermediate school aged kids have the opportunity to try a variety of athletics activities in a non-competitive environment.
Activities include running races, long jump, high jump, agility games and ball skills.
The programme starts on Tuesday 19th Feb and runs on consecutive Tuesdays until (and including) Tuesday 26 March.

As its an outdoor programme, it is weather dependent.

Attendance is free and casual so there is no need to book in advance or feel obligated to attend all sessions, though we do hope you will be able to.

Participants should arrive at the event venue at 4pm, which is the Vauxhall Sports Reserve, also known as the North Shore Rugby Club grounds - access is off Vauxhall Rd, where the bleachers are.

Registration is done on site, each session. Sessions finish at 6pm and there is food (sausage sizzle) and drink for sale on site.

For more info contact Maria ph: 445 9533 or email: maria@devonportpeninsulatrust.nz
Organised by the Devonport Peninsula Trust (www.devonportpeninsulatrust.nz...)

Does NZ Really Have a Housing Shortage? (Updated Migration Rates)

Max from Northcote

In the last newsletter, I mentioned the updated method of counting migration by Stats NZ. The net number (inbound migration less outflows) went down by roughly 30% to 43,400.

You would think that NZ doesn’t require that many extra properties to accommodate new people.
