Donate now to Blessings For Africa to help children in need.

Lisa McCarter from Blessings For Africa

Hi Neighbours!

A big thank you to everyone who has so kindly donated to Blessings For Africa. Our cause is important to us and it's very heartening to know that it is just as important to you too.

If you would like to help, you can, by donating any of the following items:

Bric-a-brac
Good usable clothing/linen
Small furniture
Home Décor
Electronics etc.

The donated goods are sold in New Zealand and the proceeds are used to support those in need in South Africa. Due to Covid, the poverty crises has deepened ever further, so there is a massive need for assistance. At the moment our focus is mainly on children living in poverty and who don't have parents to care for them.

To donate goods, please txt us on 02108484968 and we will be happy to collect. Should you want to donate an amount of money, you can do so by making a payment to the Blessings For Africa account by going to the website and click "Donate" at www.blessingsforafrica.com...

Kind regards,
The team, at Blessing for Africa

Q&A: Animal Welfare with SPCA's Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We're back with a Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell who is a qualified veterinarian and SPCA’s General Manager Animal Services.

A little bit about Corey:
Corey has an interest in veterinary medicine, animal welfare, and biosecurity. He shares his home with ostriches, guinea pigs, bees, a rescue tortoiseshell named Lynk, a ragdoll named Oscar, two mini foxies called Chester and Maya and a black Labrador named Bonnie.

Dr Corey Regnerus-Kell is excited to answer your questions on all things animal welfare, whether it's how to best look after your new pet, how to combat separation anxiety or how to report neglect.

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?
