Should public transport be free for people under 15?

Hi neighbours, people under 15 could ride for free on public transport in Auckland from later this year. Mayor Phil Goff is backing this for this year's Budget which starts in July. He's also supporting another initiative to make ferry trips which connect to buses or train journeys cheaper. Do you support this? Why or why not?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
