Transgender ideology in schools
Hi neighbours,
A large proportion of us are parents of Year 1-13 school kids. I just wished to bring to parents' awareness that your kids are lined up to be taught transgender ideology in their schools.
This ideology premises that sex is not binary (male/female) but on a continuum, and that biology is irrelevant to gender, because gender is only a social construct.
The official Govt policy is located here, www.inclusive.tki.org.nz... under "LGBTQIA+". You can read it for yourself, especially the part about inclusive classroom practices, to see what their vision of an inclusive class is like.
There is a petition before Parliament to request that this policy be removed. At present it has 12k signatures. It closes on 28 Feb and another petition on the same topic cannot be resubmitted once closed. It can be found here if you are interested: www.parliament.nz...
For further commentary see Parts 1-4 of this article series : www.whaleoil.co.nz...
We all agree that trans people deserve to be treated with civility and respect. However people who disagree with their kids being brainwashed into these political beliefs with no opt-out, should be respected too.
No other political or minority group in our society has been given such a broad platform by the Ministry of Education to push their beliefs into the minds of impressionable children, without consent of the parents.
Thanks for reading my message, and I hope you will consider signing the petition.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

77.1% Community feedback and transparency is needed.
-
22.9% No. This would be impossible in practice.
Brain Teaser of the Day 🧠✨ Can You Solve It? 🤔💬
