We believe that the bricks are Fire Bricks , originally left over from when the house chimney was built - The bricks have been since used as part of a retaining wall that has all fallen over & is lying on the ground in easy to grab peices - easy removal if someone has a van or trailer - The bricks that are pictured are the actual bricks from the bit of retaining wall which is still standing. The Bricks are easily located at the front of the property, & you can back a trailer up right near to them for easy removal. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
