Tour the Auckland Town Hall

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

Looking for something different to do this summer?

Head down to the Auckland Town Hall for an hour-long walking tour, held during December and January.

Trained guides will lead small groups across the original kauri floors and into the Great Hall where the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Who have all performed.

Gracing the Great Hall is the organ, which is one of the world's finest concert hall instruments.

The Auckland Town Hall Tours will give people an insight into the rich heritage of the Category 1 historic building, built in 1911 to house the city’s civic offices and mayoral chambers .

Tickets go on sale from November 10.
