Weekend in the Square
The Pt Chev placemaking group have heard that the people of Pt Chev want music and activities in the town square.
So we've put together a wee event for the community to enjoy.
Keep an eye out for the placemaking group and feel free to give feedback and share your ideas/dreams for our Town Centre.
Come along with your family and enjoy our town square.
Friday's events include:
Live music (line up to be announced week of event)
Poetry reading (thanks to Selwyn Village)
Giant games
Table tennis
Saturday's events include:
a bouncy castle
children's entertainment
face painting
a dress-up competition.
Have you seen Rowena?
Police are urgently appealing for sightings of Rowena, 39, reported missing from Christchurch.
She was reported missing to Police on 22 October 2025, and was last seen on 14 August 2025. Rowena hasn’t been in contact with her children and her family are worried for her safety.
Police investigating her disappearance have identified her as being in Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch in the recent months prior to her missing person report being made.
