PDF / Ransomware Protection Advice
Following recent Waikato DHB drama where many files across their entire network were encrypted please make sure that JavaScript execution is disabled in your PDF reader software (e.g. Edit->Preferences->JavaScript in Adobe Reader).
Just like Word or Excel documents, PDFs can also have embedded scripts that can access all files on your pc/network and then perform malicious activity.
