Come along to the ACC Paralympics New Zealand Open Day in Wellington at ASB Sports Centre (10am to 3pm).
Meet Paralympians Sophie Pascoe, Mary Fisher, Kate Horan and Para athlete Libby Leikis!
An Open Day is your opportunity to find Para sport opportunities in your area, watch demonstrations, and get amongst the action yourself.
You’ll also have a chance to chat with Para athletes and coaches and find out how you can get involved. A variety of Para sports will be included at each event such as Wheelchair Basketball, Para cycling, Boccia, Para athletics, and there’ll be lots more to see and do.
The Open Days are FREE to attend.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
