Another complaint re Filthy Room at Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre.

Professional Person with a Master’s in Public Health & years of experience in operating theatres has also been met with the same filthy conditions at Waipuna previously reported on Friday 17th September 2021.
1/ Dust on side- tables .
2/ Long black hair through the carpet as the earlier person had also experienced but blonde.
3/ Streams of ants heading towards a broken fridge & bait stations outside the room (not a good look for our Community owned Hotel).
4/ Rubbish only collected 3 times a week, so you are forced to sit in filth surround by ants.
5/ Used nappy on the outside of windowsill & a spitball on the ceiling (I’ll leave this up to the imagination).
6 / Appeared NOT to have been vacuumed behind curtains or under beds quoted for years.
7/ Maintenance man came to fix the window WITHOUT a N95 mask gloves or protective gear.
This is how we get cases of covid / delta in MIQ Facility’s.
8/ Issues raised with reception several times but was greeted with “blank incomprehension and evasiveness”
It is obvious from these Waipuna experiences (and I’m sure there are more we don’t know about) that the virus would be out of quarantine in milliseconds.
These are not isolated cases.
Seriously they wait for a probable or confirmed case of Covid 19 now Delta before carrying out “systematic cleaning and surface disinfection practices.
We don’t stand a chance of stamping this virus out anytime soon!!!
I now know why the person jumped out of the window at Waipuna earlier stay in MIQ as he was probably safer on the outside than on the inside.
GOOD MANAGEMENT STARTS & FINISHES AT THE TOP (heads need to roll).
I have been involved in Waipuna for at least the last 40years + and these are the first negative comments that I know of regarding Waipuna’s Management.
I’m sure all the MIQ facility’s are being paid by us the team of 5 million tax payers top dollar…..

The Community Van was initiated with the aim to enable local organisations with few or no transport alternatives, greater access to services and events within the Auckland region.
While the Community Van's most common use is to transport people to access their shopping, it also provides groups with an opportunity to extend their program options at an affordable cost.
Past trips made by not-for-profit groups have included bowling and ice cream trips, visits to the theatre , the New Zealand Martime Museum, Howick Historical Village and the Auckland Botanic Gardens.
Since MECOSS began this service in May 2021, the Community Van has transported 100s of local residents and travelled over 1000 kilometers' within Auckland's boundary.
Demand continues to grow with over 6 different organisation's having taken advantage of this community resource.

As time went by, during the Renaissance, a lot of new dances were created. The waltz started in the mid-19th century and became very popular. The English Queen Victoria fell in-love with waltz and it has been loved in the UK since her era.
Ballet originated in the Italian Renaissance Courts and was widely funded by the wife of King Henry II of France. Later on, ballet became popular in France. Ballet and its popularity continued to spread around the world and it was eventually loved in Russia in the nineteenth century. Popular ballet acts such as The Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty were all created in Russia.
Tango is deep rooted and was first danced in Europe before the First World War. Often, you can see the symbol of a cat stalking its prey as a signature move in tango. Today, tango sits a throne in ballroom dance rooms and people adore it!

Whoever it was to have created the very first dance -- that is something we may never know. There is something about great dancers that will fascinate you. They are disciplined and perfectionists. With their routines, they are on their peaked motor fitness, have strong endurance and outstanding muscular strength. They are agile, flexible and well-coordinated.
Dance Yourself Happy is not disciplined! Its a body shaking, foot stomping, unstructured disco style event. It's purely for fun! These free sessions especially designed by Mari Pettersson for the community, offer a lot of health benefits as well - from weight management to cognitive improvements and even in building better social skills.
A Dance Yourself Happy session helps to strengthen the heart and lungs and building stronger bones and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. What’s more fascinating is that everyone can dance. Don’t say you can’t dance because everybody can!

This is owned by us the community that live it the Mt Wellington Licensing Trust area.
I would like the Chief Executive Brent Robinson & the 6 elected board members (elected by us the community every 3 years ) to explain how this has been allowed to happen.
Here a few of the complaints.
1/ Dirt smeared on the telephone.
2/ Weeks of dust build- up in the grates of the fan and the back of the TV
3/ Food was awful most of the meals where inedible and arrived cold.
4/ Spiders in the shower and hole in the wall that ants trailed through into the bathroom.
5/ Room not vacuumed properly
Would you pay $3100.00 for this 2 week experience????
From what I read into this the Hotel is going to rack & ruin and will be worthless to us the community.
The CE & the 6 elected board members need to be held accountable as they are the caretakers to protect our biggest asset.
Thank goodness there is another election next year.
Please give some consideration to stand as a board member to protect our asset as clearly these people are NOT
