Duck Numbers
I have noticed a significant drop in duck numbers in Lloyd Elsmore Park and behind Pakuranga College.
It would be sad if there are no ducks left, but I guess that’s it.
Also noticed a lot of people collecting shellfish and mud crabs around our beaches when there are signs saying not to.
Well if human faeces go into the beaches, anyone eating the shellfish will be very ill.
Some other sea creatures depend on what people collect and if that happens, how many fish will be left?
I guess we must accept that, but think about it. There are creatures and animals in parks and on the beaches, part of the food chain, if it’s all gone there will be nothing left for anyone.
Which is why I must speak out. I don’t mind the odd bit of food taken but on a mass scale, not acceptable. Take only what you need.
