Surf Lifesaving chief exectuive Mark Williams said there is a constant risk particularly when offshore winds are blowing.
He recommends taking great care and extra vigilance around the use of such flotation devices, which are a popular Christmas present, especially by young children who can very quickly be pushed out of their depth.

To serve, It’s best to take the ice cream out of the freezer.

110 g Caster sugar
3 Tbsp Water
3 Egg whites
250 ml Cream
300 g Berries, we have used blackberries and blueberries
