Babyteeth?
When babies are born, they already have most of their teeth under their gums. ... Some children do not get their teeth at the same time as their peers. If a child does not have any teeth by the age of 18 months, he or she should be taken to a pediatric dentist for an evaluation.
.
However, as a general rule, see us as orthodontists when your child is seven years old. By this time the first permanent teeth will have come through.
So we can get a pretty good idea what will need to be done during your orthodontic treatment program with us.
Free Monitoring Program Through Bachmann
•
We will also put in place a free, regular oral development monitoring program for your child that will run right up until they start their program to ensure we begin their treatment at the best time possible. We have many years of experience & training in assessing a child's pace of oral development. As such, it is usually immediately obvious to us what level of treatment will be required, if teeth will need to be removed for any reason and more.
•
When we assess a child or young adult, we always consider what their teeth are likely to do in between the time we first see them and when their treatment is expected to begin. We then can more accurately estimate the best age for braces in their specific case. We always tailor our orthodontic treatment programs to each and their needs.
