Volunteer Needed to help with Animal Charity - Event Management & Fundraising

Angela Purcell from KittyCat Fixers

My charity KittyCat Fixers is looking for a volunteer to help me with Fundraising, Event Management, Volunteer Management, Grant/Sponsorship Applications. I run this national charity on my own with help from volunteers dotted around the country. KittyCat Fixers provides financial assistance to people who genuinely cannot afford to desex their pet cats.

Unfortunately cloning technology has not been invented as yet but I need some help as I can't do it all on my own. You will need to have "some" experience or understanding in fundraising, event management, managing people and grant/sponsorship writing. You must love cats!
I have just relocated from Torbay to HBC to be closer to my paid job. You will need to be able to get to my home office in Gulf Harbour on Mondays and Fridays (not every day, only when needed as a lot can be done from home), therefore own transport is essential and access to your own Laptop. Ability to be flexible at weekends for fundraising events.

This position would suit someone who works part time, has time to help grow the charity in the above areas, self motivated, able to work on their own, thinks outside the box, ability to work from home. This is a volunteer, unpaid position.

Please send your interest to angela@kittycatfixers.org.nz along with your CV. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via PM or phone me on 021 059 5863.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
