Mothers with babies - *Free Managing Emotions and Finding Balance Group
This group is free to mothers with a referral from their GP, counsellor, or health professional. Babies under 2 years can attend with mothers. The group aims to build build both the practical and internal resources of participants, enabling better management of emotions. A toolbox drawn from Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectal Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness approaches will be included. The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itβs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
