Chef wanted - The Old Packhouse in Kerikeri.

Brittany from Orakei

We're looking for an experienced chef to join our hardworking but fun team here at The Old Packhouse Cafe in Kerikeri. Experience is a key factor as the role calls for a person with a variety of skills. Although full time hours, the position could potentially be a four day week for the right person if preferred. We make everything in-house; breads, salads, pies, pastries, cakes, slices - concentrating on using local produce wherever possible. We love creating and are always looking at ways to improve, while working hard in a professional but fun and relaxed environment. For more information or to express your interest please email Neil at manager@theoldpackhouse.co.nz, or phone 0274305240.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
