Building community is at the heart of what RNB has been working towards over the last year. Our aim is always to provide a fun, friendly, inclusive and safe space for that community to enjoy outdoor recreation.

So we want to provide members and visitors with reassurance that we've been ensuring our procedures are correct and we are keeping our members and visitors safe and protected from Covid-19.

Some of the protocol we have in place includes:

-All bowls equipment will be cleaned with antiseptic spray before and after sessions.

-Spray and wipe cloths will be available for use during hires.

-Disposable gloves are also available- or bring your own.

-We've retrained our stewards in hand washing protocol and stressed to them the importance of staying home if they are feeling unwell.

-The pay-to-play hand stamp system will be replaced by a ticket system.

-Stewards only in the locker/bowls room.

-One rink separation between playing rinks. Maximum of 6 rinks open at one time to allow for social distancing, so might pay to book one in advance to ensure you can play. Bookings can be made here: docs.google.com...

As we won’t be taking a deposit, and to be fair to everyone, rinks will be released 15min after booked time if not paid for at the venue.

Our absolute top priority remains the health, safety and well-being of our visitors, members, and community.

Additionally, all memberships purchased from March 1st will be valid until end of season 2021.

So, here are the additional club rules until further notice:
_______________________________________

1/ If you are feeling unwell or presenting any symptoms of illness – DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE.

2/ On arrival ALL MEMBERS & VISITORS are requested to wash their hands. We will have Hand Sanitiser available outside the match room as soon as possible. Please no "touchers"- shaking hands, high fives etc.

3/ Stewards ONLY in the locker/bowls room.

4/On the greens…

- One rink separation between playing rinks.
- Bowlers should not shake hands before or after the event – a simple “good bowls” statement will suffice;
- Bowlers should not pick up their opponents' or teammates' bowls;
- If any bowler or official is feeling unwell, coughing or sneezing – they should consider withdrawing from local bowls events;
- Bowlers should where possible maintain a distance of 1 meter from other bowlers; and
- Bowlers should wash their hands thoroughly before and after a game.
5/ All bowls equipment will be cleaned with antiseptic spray before and after sessions. Spray and wipe cloths, as well as disposable gloves, will be available for use during hires.

Stay well,
Steve King, Club Secretary

An affordable option to give you that Hollywood smile you’ve always dreamed of, giving you a major boost in your confidence and self-esteem. Here Dentic Denture Clinic aim to answer a few commonly asked questions to help you understand more about dentures.

1) When should I replace my dentures?
Over the time, you may find your dentures become loose and ill-fitting as your gum resorbs and shrinks. Difficulty in chewing and frequently experiencing tired and sore gum are symptoms that indicate your denture is due for a replacement.

2) I plan to have teeth removed but don’t want to seen without teeth, what should I do?
Immediate dentures are made prior to teeth removal so that on the day of your extractions your missing teeth can be instantly replaced with a denture.

3) I have a few missing teeth, I’m not sure if I need dentures?
A common misconception is that you need to lose all your teeth before getting dentures. However, there are types of dentures that only replace a few missing teeth too.

4) I recently broke/ lost my dentures, do you provide quotes?
Dentic Denture Clinic offers same-day repairs. However, if your dentures cannot be repaired, Dentic provide free Work and Income (WINZ) and insurance quote at no obligation

To inquire, please contact Dentic Denture Clinic at 09 948 2202 or visit the clinic at 201 Taylor Street, Blockhouse Bay, Auckland for a free consultation with no obligation.

Coughing and sneezing into the elbow can really help reduce the spread of germs by not getting them on the hands, and greatly reducing the risk of spray spreading around onto other people. Obviously keep washing hands and drying thoroughly but this is not possible to do when out and about. Never cough or sneeze into tissue or hands.

❤️ We are all well aware that a lot of our elderly live in their own homes with a spouse, or often alone.
Not everyone has friends and family to lean on for support and assistance in these times of concern.
If you are at home, frightened, and in need of help - please - reach out to your community via a message here on Neighbourly.
Someone will see it, and there are kind and helpful hearts out here that will do what they can to help you in these times.
I personally am in self isolation as I have a compromised immune system and must take extra care to be safe, and stay well. In addition, we have a good dose of the flu right now. (Tested - not Covid-19).
I have lovely neighbours around me who have helped whenever they can, and I am ever so grateful for this.
Are you at home worried and need someone to talk to? ❤️
Are you at home unwell and in need of a hand? ❤️
Reach out. ❤️
At this time I remind people of the wonderful opportunity we have to shop online and have it delivered for a fee.
Physical health may take a decline, but please, don't let pride or shyness diminish your mental health also.
My hand is up. I am here. Reach out. ❤️
In time to come, if need arises, I will create a group page especially for this.
Feel free to send me a private message, and let's see how we can coordinate some help for you ❤️
