Heartbeats Cardiac Support Group Meeting Thursday 8th October, 10am
Heartbeats Takapuna meets this Thursday 8th October at 10:00am to 11:30am at Mary Thomas Centre, 3 Gibbons Rd, Takapuna (behind the Takapuna Library).
Heartbeats is a community-based cardiac education and support group that meets on the first THURSDAY of each month to:
- help each other and partners, with long term personal rehabilitation and cardiac management
- provide a better understanding of heart disease among members
- connect with a broad base of cardiac healthcare providers
At each of our meetings we have guest speakers from healthcare professionals: doctors, cardiologists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, dietitians, heart health counsellors etc.
All meetings are INFORMAL and there is no membership fee, It is completely relaxed and friendly.
COME ALONG, join a local Heartbeats group, share your experience and learn from others who are 'on the same journey'.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
