Sewing Studio Open Day

Katie from Bayswater

Hi Everyone, Thread Room sewing classes have moved into a new studio in Belmont. We are having an open day to celebrate and would love you to come along!

We hope that this studio can become a little creative hub for the local area. As well as sewing classes we will be hosting workshops and community events.

The open day is a great chance to see the space and to see what we have happening in the next few months.

Thread Room Open Day
Saturday 19th October 1.00pm-3.00pm
163 Lake Road, Belmont

Everyone is welcome!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
