Fire-fighters wanted
The Devonport Volunteer Fire Brigade (DVFB) is now recruiting for volunteer fire-fighters.
If you are 18+, physically able, live within 3 minutes drive of the Devonport Fire Station (23 Lake Road), and prepared to commit to weekly training, callouts, and community events, then we want to hear from you! The DVFB is one of the oldest fire brigades in the country and so if you want to be part of our community's history, here is your chance. See our website www.dvfb.org.nz... for more information and contact details.

Poll: Have you ever been bullied?
People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.
