Hey neighbours,

All New Zealand police officers will receive new stab- and bullet-proof vests in a $20 million roll-out over the next three-and-a-half years.

The current vests - which were introduced in 2006 - are stab-proof, but special vests are worn by any officers involved in firearms call-outs.

They have passed their warranty, but remain "safe and fit for purpose", says Police Commissioner Mike Bush.

What do you think about the new armour? Are police officers safe using the current vests? Are you surprised the existing vests aren't stab- and bullet-proof?

Key benefits we will be looking for include removing tariffs and other barriers that restrict the flow of goods and services between our countries, and closer cooperation on progressive trade issues, including environmental protection.

Submissions are closing on 11 February, so to make your voice heard, just answer our quick poll question and share your thoughts now.

Better still, they’re a snap to make, especially if you have ready-grated tasty and parmesan cheese from Mainland in the fridge.

For the more adventurous eaters, finish each muffin with a little wedge of Brie, Noble or Blue cheese. You might not be able to resist sneaking a couple for your own lunch!

Superb Large Room in the heart of Takapuna

Have you ever dreamed off having a comfortable large double bedroom easy 5 minutes walk from the beach, gym, yoga, pilates, shops, cafes, restaurants? Than this place is for you!
5min drive from 3 supermarkets and 2 petrol stations.
Everything is on your doorstep.

Just walk through the door and you’ll fall in love with the soft carpet, the brand new kitchen and you’ll love our luxurious shower.

Why to move in?

-Only 1 other flatmate which means you only share the kitchen/fridge/bathroom etc with me
-Water and 1 designated car park is included in the rent
-Content insurance is included
-Toilet paper, washing powder, hand-soap, cleaning products are also included in rental
-Internet is $40/month per person ($80/month total)
-Fibre super fast unlimited internet
-Fully set up with everything from washing machine/dryer to dishwasher, heat pump, blender, waffle maker etc.
-3 min walk to take aways/ bars/ restaurants
-4 min walk from the famously stunning Takapuna beach and 5 minutes walk from the lake
-Large double bedroom with double built in wardrobe. Bring your own bedroom furniture and you're ready to go. If you have more furniture, we'll make that work.
-Power is shared between the 2 of us
-Apple TV, Netflix is also included in the rent
-The flat was recently refurbished. It’s stunning.
-Friendly, quiet neighbours
-Fantastic property manager
Only $330/week.

It’s a home not just another flat. Like to keep it clean and tidy without being obsessed. Not a party flat.
Short or long term accomodation is available. Lease is running out in May, but I might renew it or my friend will take over.

Ideally looking for a drama free, easy going, fun flatmate.

If you want to live in style, this place is for you.
Thanks, ildy
