Stay protected against Covid-19
Winter has arrived and we are seeing a significant increase in winter illnesses across our communities.
Being up to date with your vaccinations remains one of the best things you can do to protect yourself from serious illness or being admitted to hospital due to covid.
If you’re over the age of 65, taking care of yourself and your immune system is important.
You can have the covid vaccine if it has been six months since your last vaccination or positive test.
Book your free vaccination
======================
To get your covid vaccine, talk to your family doctor, nurse or visit a local pharmacy. You can also book online through Book My Vaccine
If you would like more information, you can:
===================================
• visit healthpoint.co.nz to find a pharmacy or provider near you
• call Healthline on 0800 28 29 26 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays). Calls are free and you can opt to speak with a Māori clinician. Interpreters are also available.
When you get your covid vaccine, check with your healthcare provider if you are due for any other vaccines including flu and whooping cough / tetanus. It's safe to have the covid vaccine at the same time as most other immunisations.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
