The 'face' of Auckland's Hero Parade, Wayne Otter dies

Melanie Earley Reporter from Central Leader

Kia ora neighbours, well-known Auckland drag queen who was once “the face” of Auckland’s Hero Parade, Wayne Otter has died.

Otter, 69 – who was also known as Miss K, or The Divine Miss K – has been described as a “national gay icon”, by his daughter, Sophie Otter.

Otter had been found dead on the driveway of one of his lifelong friends on the morning of April 4 in Auckland. His daughter said he’d had many health issues in the lead up to his death.
