I have looked around Scout Avenue, Bremmer Avenue, Parau street and Mount Albert road that's where she was circling around. She's extremely friendly and likes to sit on people's head and shoulders. Answers if you call her RIA. She's not used to outdoors and will be very difficult for her to survive the heat.
If anyone finds her please do let me know. Feeling extremely sad of losing her. Will be listing her on lost pets website too. Please do share my post for further reach. Thanks

If spare time is a rarity - not to worry! This year’s Givealittle page is now live and we’re aiming to fundraise $25,000 for the Tasman Environment Trust. All money raised will go towards the purchase of bait and bait stations to continue and expand wasp control operations.
Find out more about this destructive pest by reading through our new interactive feature on Stuff which explores the tools we have in the fight to rid wasps from New Zealand for good.

Auckland Council is looking to scrap bin tags in parts of Auckland.
The bin tags – or a pay as you throw (PAYT) system – were rolled out in West Auckland, Papakura and on the North Shore between 2017 and 2018.
Rather than paying for kerbside rubbish collection as part of their rates, residents in these areas purchase bin tags from supermarkets, council service centres and libraries, and attach them to their bin on rubbish collection day.
The bin tags were part of the council’s strategy to achieve its goal of zero waste to landfill by 2040, with one standard sized bin (120L, bin tag cost $4.25) fitting the equivalent of, and removing the need for, two plastic rubbish bags.
The council had planned on rolling out this system across the entire region, however it now believes it is too expensive to operate and lacks the financial incentive needed to make people reduce their waste.
Now, it is proposing to move the entire region to a rates-funded collection service, with the choice of three rubbish bin sizes to cater to different household needs and costs.
If the proposal to goes ahead, it is estimated Aucklanders will pay $314 per year for their rubbish, recycling and inorganic collection. Including food scraps collection, this will cost $375.
If the entire region moves to a PAYT system, it is expected each household would spend $353 on bin tags each year, or $415 including food scraps collection. This estimate is based on the current average collection rate of a household with a standard 120L bin.
Consultation on the matter will begin on February 28. So, what do you think should happen?

During the lockdown it was a bit safer for cars to queue there, but as businesses are now open, this is not possible. Some people have also been parking and walking in to get tested. Although the advice on the Covid-19 website states this is a walk-in testing centre, Health New Lynn has advised us that the layout of their building means there are health and safety issues involved with this option. I am looking into whether some additional support can be put in place to help manage the traffic issue at this site.
To minimise pressure on all testing centres, please only get a test if you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, if you have been at a location of interest or are a contact of a case, if you are travelling, or if mandatory testing applies to your job. Many GPs are providing free PCR tests. Phone them immediately if you are symptomatic as you may have to wait a bit longer to get an appointment.
ALSO: As we have now entered Omicron Response Phase Two. Workers at registered critical services who are vaccinated and asymptomatic close contacts of a COVID-19 case will be able to continue to work, as long as they return a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) prior to each day/shift they are at work during the isolation period, and follow specific health protocols. They will only be allowed to go to work – not anywhere else.
Workers who are participating in the scheme will be able to collect free Rapid Antigen Test kits from a collection site. Refer to the guidance on the Ministry of Health website for the process for collecting and undertaking a Rapid Antigen Test, as part of the Close Contact Exemption Scheme.
