They will still visit your garden on sunny days, but then when it's cold or wet they 'regroup' into colonies in tall trees, sheltering on the sunny side from the cold and the wind. They can be found in parks or on golf courses, anywhere where there's tall trees.

These monarchs will wait out the winter and return to our gardens in the spring to mate and lay eggs on swan plants. They need our help! (Thanks Elizabeth Amber for these gorgeous photos!)

Please help us look after our beautiful butterflies. This website is somewhere you can learn more about them.

So I merged onto NW motorway from Waterview heading east, it was usual observation of nearly every vehicle mobilised that morning up each others business, so i proceeded to hang back to create a sizeable gap which i know can annoy others. But then it seemed everyone else around did same in unison and then suddenly the unthinkable happened, the motorway opened right up and everyone was suddenly moving at 80kms with a good gap had between each vehicle, and the sun rose and I saw that miracle folks. I got to Remuera from Blockhouse in 25 mins?! Kia Ora Westies....

We're planting native trees at Wenderholm! Wenderholm holds a special place in Auckland’s history as its first Regional Park—and one of the most picturesque.

Native planting at this site not only enhances a beautiful recreation site for residents of Tāmaki Makaurau, but also provides erosion control, helping prevent runoff into the harbour, and associated significant soil and water quality benefits.

In 1953, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip spent a day picnicking at Wenderholm — so come and help plant native trees for the Jubilee at this special site.

I had to receive a parcel yesterday through ARAMEX COURIER as informed by the sender to me. When I checked the tracking number at home. It mentioned below the tracking number - Calling Card Left - We attempted to deliver your parcel and will now hold it at your local depot awaiting your instructions for re delivery. But I was at home and my window screens were open, was working from home. Then I went and checked my post box. There was no calling card left. I called the ARAMEX customer care number and they said we cant do anything and was speaking very rudely stating we are busy.It can only be redelivered next week. Do anyone face the same with this courier company. I want to raise a complaint on this courier service. Any advice please

Tidying up the mess in your own house after a gathering the night before is bad enough, but neighbours in central Auckland are having to deal with party detritus from a nearby unoccupied property.

An untenanted house in the central Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill has prompted complaints from neighbours, after parties are thrown at the property, leaving behind piles of rubbish, and no occupants in sight.

Neighbours are convinced the parties are thrown by the owner, Nasir Ahmad Sharifi, or close associates of Sharifi, but he says that’s not true and he has no idea who is “trashing” his property.
