U3A Mt Albert will meet on Tuesday May 17, 10-12 at Western Springs Garden Community Hall, 956 Great North Rd. The main speaker will be Janice Willis from Elderly Assist talking about "decluttering". We will have tea and coffee and a time for socialising. Visitors are very welcome.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
