Guava Moth

Robert from Mount Albert

Interested to know how many people are suffering Guava Moth damage to their fruit crops especially Feijoas. I contacted Plant Research last year to try and get a treatment program .I diligently followed their advice to no avail . Crops are severely infested. I've heard of damage to limes ,Plums and even Macadamia. If this pest gets into Commercial Crop areas it will wreck havoc .Something needs to be done. We need a seasonal treatment program that works .I can't even give bags of fruit away for fear of internal infestation.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
