THIS SUNDAY at Alberton Market Day!

Rendell McIntosh from Alberton

Get your avocados fresh from the growers - Kamai Ranges Orchard, Katikati ($5 bags and avos both ready to eat and to ripen), the first season's strawbs, blueberries and delicious Campari tomatoes from Sweet Red Strawberries, Helensville, as well as produce grown by Mt Albert locals at Sanctuary Community Organic Garden!

If you want them at the market please come by to grab a few avos and a punnet of strawbs! It applies to all the stalls but particularly the produce ones - if they dont have a good day we cant get them back! Lots of work for these growers to get their produce to market and there is waste and loss if it doesn't sell. Please come by to support 'em if you want them!

Exciting new specialty produce vendors this month include Savour (dairy-free nut cheese) and Milk 2.0 - Plant based milks. Lots of your favourite regulars like Cazador Delicatessen, Salash Delicatessen, Zino's Preserves, Delboys, Lulu's Tonics, Our Harvest Preserves, Foundry Chocolate, Grandma Jenkins Fruit Cakes (Christmas cakes!), Queen of Tarts (Christmas tarts!) Grownup Donuts and Otti & Olli return with their delicious artisanal goodies! Grab some gorgeous groceries and treats you wont find in the supermarket.

Alberton Market Day! Sunday 8 November. 10am-2pm. FREE ENTRY.
100 Mt Albert Road, Mt Albert.

Razor blades in the walls....

Kylie Klein Nixon Reporter from Homed

Has anyone ever seen something like the image below in an older Kiwi home? Does anyone remember them from their childhood? These strange slots allowed you to rid yourself of an old razor and never think of it again...but it also meant, years down the track, that someone renovating would be in for a nasty, rusty surprise.
I'm certain I've seen something like this here in Aotearoa-NZ, but can't for the life of me recall where. It was in the back of the medicine cupboard. Let us know if you've seen, had - or have - one in your home.

Seed Sharing for Neighbours Day!

The Team from Neighbours Day Aotearoa

We love how creative some people are with their plant giving! This is for goodie bags for a 7 year olds party but we reckon you could borrow this wonderful idea for the Neighbours Day Aotearoa Great Plant Swap!
What a lovely gift to get and it's not just kids who love sunflowers.

ADDED BONUS: if you give your neighbours sunflower seeds you would get to enjoy their beautiful flowers too!

Have you signed up for Neighbours Day 2021 yet? There's lots of ways you can join in...check out our website to register today:

Pressure Treatment - Free (by a student)

Alicja from Point Chevalier

Hi,
I am urgently looking for more people or pets to practice on. Treatments are painless, safe, gentle and take about an hour. I've had some great results so far with adults, children, dogs and horses, ranging from less pain, improved movement and better posture to less anxiety. I've just attended the second part of my training and want to put it into use straight away, so that I don't forget what I've learned at the course. I don't have a treatment room yet, but I do have a (very comfortable) massage table. Please DM me if you, or someone you know, would be up for a relaxing session in the comfort of your own home. Thank you!
