Mayoral contender John Tamihere is pledging to freeze rates for three years if elected in October. At a time when Auckland needs to build more infrastructure and improve services, Tamihere thinks the loss of $86 million a year in council revenue, is viable. Do you agree? Read the story below.

Help with furniture restoration

We have a C.1960s wood veneer dining table.
We are searching for someone who is possibly retired or has some free time on their hands, and ideally with some experience restoring wood furniture. There are no time frames, or pressure.
We are happy to have the work completed here (Sandringham) or wherever it best suits.
