I visited the Woodward Road Dairy today, and was horrified to learn the store manager's landlord was threatening to evict him and his family. The landlord has been pressuring him to fix issues with the building, which the landlord legally and rightfully should be fixing themselves, and when the manager refused the landlord made the current threat.
I spoke to them about preparing a Tenancy Tribunal case, though I understand because they have to run the store from open to close each day on a tight budget, they may not have the time or capacity to attend hearings.
They have an in-store petition ready so if you value the Woodward Road Dairy and agree they are being treated unfairly, please pop in and sign the petition, and inform your friends and neighbours.
They also have a change dot org petition set up, though I cannot find the link at this time.
