Kids Holiday Sewing Workshops!

Sept/Oct Dates | 9am-3pm | Thread Room, Belmont

Learn to sew these school holidays. A full day sewing workshop is the perfect chance for creative kids to learn how to sew. These workshops are great for kids who already love sewing or those who are totally new and want to try it out.

By the end of each day students will have made a beautiful and unique sewing project to take home. All materials and sewing machines are provided. Suitable for ages 8+.

We have lots of different programs available sewing: Fabric Face Masks, Leggings, Panda Cushions, Animal Handbags, and Giant Floor Cushions. Check out the full range of workshops at:

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
